Description : The Mallard is a large duck (adult bird length approximately 57 cm, weight 1.2 kg, wing 27 cm, bill 5 cm, tarsus 4.2 cm, tail 9 cm). The breeding male has a deep grey body with bottle-green head and neck and purple-brown breast. The other spectacular parts of its body are a white neck ring, orange legs.
