Description : The Common Pochard is a silvery or brown duck with a large dome-shaped head (adult bird length approximately 48 cm, weight 820 g, wing 21 cm, bill 4.6 cm, tarsus 3.7 cm, tail 6.5 cm). The breeding male looks silver-grey from above and largely greyish-white from below. It is usually seen in large flocks.
