Description : Red-breasted merganser has a spiky crest and long thin red bill with serrated edges. The adult red-breasted merganser is 51–62 cm long, weight ranges from 800-1350 gm. The male has a dark head with a green sheen, a white neck, black back, and white underparts. Adult female has a greyish body. They mainly eat small fish, but also aquatic insects and frogs.
