Description : The Common Goldeneye is a medium-sized diving duck (adult bird length approximately 46 cm, weight 860 g, wing 21 cm, bill 3 cm, tarsus 3.6 cm, tail 8.5 cm). In the breeding season, the male looks pied from above and white from below except for its black tail. Its bill is black, its irises are golden-yellow. The female lays 6-15 glossy greenish eggs,
