Description : The Baikal Teal is a dainty and colourful duck whose male is visibly different from the female (adult bird length approximately 41 cm, weight 200 g, wing 21.5 cm, bill 3.5 cm, tarsus 3.3 cm, tail 9 cm). It has two prominent bands on its buff face: a vertical black band runs from its eye to the throat and a green band runs from behind the eye though the side of its head.
