Description : The Northern Pintail is a sleek duck with a long neck (adult bird length approximately 55 cm, weight 700 g, wing 26 cm, bill 5.2 cm, tarsus 4 cm, tail 19 cm). Its male has a pointed tail and is visibly different from the female. The breeding male has a chocolate colored head and neck. It feeds on aquatic plants and vegetation growing on the bank. It also takes aquatic invertebrates
