Description : The Mandarin Duck is a colourful waterbird. (adult bird length approximately 44 cm, wing 22.5 cm, bill 2.8 cm, tarsus 3.8 cm, tail 11 cm). The male in the breeding season has a large rounded head with long brown crown, red bill, white band behind the eyes and thick-feathered orange neck and cheek. It feeds on aquatic insects, crustaceans and vegetable matters
