Description : The Pacific Golden Plover is a brown shore bird with golden speckles (adult bird length approximately 24 cm, weight 100 g, wing 17 cm, bill 2.5 cm, tarsus 4.2 cm, tail 6 cm). Its bill is black, and its legs and feet are slaty-grey. The male and the female look alike. It feeds chiefly on tiny molluscs. It also takes crustaceans, worms, insects, seeds and vegetable matter.
