Description : The Northern Lapwing is a black-and-white wader with a long pointed crest (adult bird length approximately 31 cm, weight 200 g, wing 23 cm, bill 2.5 cm, tarsus 4.6 cm, tail 11 cm). In the non-breeding season, it looks dark green from above and white from below. It feeds on insects, molluscs and worms. It breeds in March-June.
