Description : The Slaty-blue Flycatcher is a small passerine with remarkable sexual dimorphism ((length 10 cm, weight: 9 g in male and 7.5 g in female, wing 8.7 cm, bill 1.3 cm, tarsus 1.8 cm, tail 5 cm approximately). The adult male looks dark blue from above and white from below. It has bright blue forehead, black-blue edges of the head and dark blue tail with white sides at the base. The adult female looks olive-brown from above and brownish-buff from below. It has white throat and rufous-brown uppertail-covert and tail. It feeds only on insects and often takes short sallies after these. It breeds in May-July
