Description : The Grey-winged Blackbird is a long-tailed passerine whose male looks different from the female (length 28 cm, weight 100 g, wing 14 cm, bill 2.8 cm, tarsus 3.6 cm, tail 11 cm). The male looks entirely black from above except for its broad pale grey -patch on the wingcoverts, secondaries and tertials. Its underpart is black with whitish fringes on the belly and vent. Its legs and feet are brownish in front and yellow behind. The female looks entirely olive-brown except for its wing patches. The patch is greyish on the greater coverts and dark brown on the primary coverts. Its legs and feet are entirely brown. Both sexes have brown irises, yellow eyering and deep orange bill. It breeds in March-August. It feeds on insects, earthworms, other invertebrates and berries.
