Description : The Ultramarine Flycatcher is a small passerine with remarkable sexual dimorphism, even as juveniles (length 10 cm, weight 7.5 g, wing 6 cm, bill 1.3 cm, tarsus 1.6 cm, tail 4.5 cm approximately). The male looks deep blue from above and entirely white from below. Its neck and sides of the breast are blue, crown is bright blue and the base of blue tail is white. The female looks grey-brown from above and whitish from below. It has grey-patches on the sides of the breast and dark grey rump, uppertail-coverts and tail. It feeds chiefly on flying insects. It breeds in April-July.
