Description : The Tickell’s Blue Flycatcher is a passerine with distinct sexual dimorphism (length 14 cm, weight 15 g, wing 7 cm, bill 1.5 cm, tarsus 1.8 cm, tail 5.5 cm approximately). The adult male looks indigo-blue from above and orange-rufous to white from below. Its forehead, supercilium and shoulders are azure-blue, throat and breast are orange, and flanks and belly are white. The female looks greyish-blue from above and white from below except the breast. It has whitish or dull bluish lores and orange breast. It feeds on insects, especially the dipterans. It breeds in April-August.
