Description : The Terek Sandpiper is a greyish wader with short orange legs and an upcurved bill (adult bird length approximately 24 cm, weight 53 g, wing 13.5 cm, bill 4.8 cm, tarsus 2.6 cm, tail 5.2 cm). In the non-breeding season, it looks greyish-brown from above and white from below. It has a white forehead and supercilium. It feeds on insects and their larvae, small molluscs, crustaceans, spiders and annelid worms.
