Description : The Red-necked Stint is a small, grey shorebird whose head and upper breast turn chestnut-rufous in the summer (adult bird length approximately 15 cm, weight 25 g, wing 10 cm, bill 1.8 cm, tarsus 2 cm, tail 4.5 cm). In the winter, it looks greyish-brown from above and white from below. Its supercilium is white and the sides of its breast have grey patches. It feeds on insects and larvae, worms, crustaceans and other invertebrates
