Description : The Asian Dowitcher is a medium-sized wader with a long straight bill (adult bird length approximately35 cm, weight 140 g, wing 17 cm, bill 8.5 cm, tarsus 5 cm, tail 6.5 cm). In the winter, it looks greyish-brown from above and whitish from below. It has a noticeable white supercilium. It feeds chiefly on insects, molluscs, crustaceans and small plant materials.
