Description : The Great Knot is a medium sized grey shore bird that looks darker in the summer (adult bird length approximately 27 cm, weight 135 g, wing 17.5 cm, bill 4.3 cm, tarsus 3.5 cm, tail 6.5 cm). In the non-breeding season, it looks greyish from above and white from below. It has an indistinct white supercilium. It feeds on molluscs, insects and other marine creatures.
