Description : Male Japanese Sparrowhawk has dark bluish-grey upperparts, pale rufous to pale grey underparts. Female has brown back and whitish underparts with distinct grayish- brown barring. Juvenile dark grayish brown upperparts with rufous fringes, white supercilium and brown to rufous streaking on breast. It feeds on small birds etc. It is a bird of open and wooded areas.
