Description : The Short-toed Snake Eagle is a medium-sized eagle with a large rounded greyish owl-like head (adult bird length approximately 65 cm, wing 52 cm, bill 4.2 cm, tarsus 9.5 cm, tail 28 cm). Its female is larger than the male. It has three or four dark bands on the underside of the tail. It feeds on snakes, frogs, lizards, rodents, birds and large insects.
