Description : Grey Treepie is a grey,brown and black bird with a very long tail which has black ear-coverts and forehead,grey crown and nape.Its underparts are greyish and paler belly is evident in them.Brownish-crimson irises,horn-black bill and blackish legs and feet are observed in them.Both sexes look alike and the juvenile has a narow black forehead,dusky throat,browner crown and nape along with whitish belly. The grey treepie inhabits a variety of habitats, including forests, cultivated areas, and human settlements, and is primarily arboreal. The grey treepie is primarily arboreal in its feeding habits, but may also feed on the ground in cultivated areas. Its diet consists of insects, berries, nectar, grain, seeds, small reptiles, eggs, and nestlings. This species is known to occasionally join mixed-species foraging flocks.
