Description : The Oriental Scops Owl is a small light-grey bird with prominent ear-tufts (adult bird length approximately 19 cm, weight 80 g, wing 14.5 cm, bill 1.7 cm, tarsus 2.5 cm, tail 6.5 cm). It looks light brown or grey from above and paler on the belly. It feeds on moths, beetles, crickets and other insects, small birds, mice and lizards. It breeds in March-August. It is found in dry deciduous forests. The owl nests in holes in trees during February–April.
