Description : The Banded Bay Cuckoo is a brown heavily barred bird with a white supercilium (adult bird length approximately 24 cm, wing 12 cm, bill 2.5 cm, tarsus 1.7 cm, tail 11.5 cm). The upperparts are rufous-brown with dark brown bars. The male and the female look alike. It feeds chiefly on caterpillars and bugs. It breeds mainly in February-August.
