Description : The Common Cuckoo is a grey bird (adult bird length approximately 33 cm, weight 90 g, wing 22 cm, bill 2.8 cm, tarsus 2.3 cm, tail 16 cm). The male looks uniform grey from above and white from below. It has a blackish-brown tail with a white tip. It feeds on insects, especially caterpillars including hairy ones. It breeds in the Himalayas and Siberia in March-September.
