Description : The Indian Cuckoo is a grey bird with a barred breast (adult bird length approximately 33 cm, weight 130 g, wing 20 cm, bill 3 cm, tarsus 2 cm, tail 15 cm). In the male the chin, throat and upper breast are ashy-grey. The female has a pale grey throat. It feeds on caterpillars and soft insects. It breeds mainly in April-June.
