Description : The Spotted Redshank is a pale grey wader that turns sooty-black when breeding (adult bird length approximately 30 cm, weight 150 g, wing 17 cm, bill 5.7 cm, tarsus 5.6 cm, tail 6.5 cm). In the non-breeding season, it looks pale grey from above and white from below. It has a narrow white supercilium in front of the eyes. It has long straight blackish-brown bill with a red base. It feeds on crustaceans, worms, molluscs, aquatic insects, larvae and small fishes.
