Description : The Siberian Rubythroat is a small passerine whose male is visibly different from the female (length 15 cm, weight 22 g, wing 7.5 cm, bill 1.6 cm, tarsus 2.8 cm, tail 6 cm approximately). The male is olive-brown above and pale buffish-brown to whitish below. It has outstanding white supercilium, black lore, white moustachial stripe, ruby-red throat, black line on the sides of the chin, white malar stripe, olive-brown breast and flanks and whitish belly. The female lacks the ruby-red throat of the male. Its throat is white or pink. It feeds mainly on insects and insect larvae
