Description : The Rufous-breasted Bush Robin is a small passrine whose male and female are strikingly different (length 12 cm, weight 12 g, wing 8 cm, bill 1 cm, tarsus 2.5 cm, tail 5.5 cm approximately). The male looks deep blue from above and rufous-orange from below except for a few details. Its supercilium, lesser coverts and uppertail-coverts glisten with blue. It has white vent and undertail-covert. The female looks olive-brown from above and orange-buff from below. It has slaty-blue rump and uppertail-coverts and blackish edge to the deep blue tail. Its throat, breast and flanks are orange-buff and the central belly and undertail-covert are buffish-white. It feeds chiefly on insects. It breeds in March-May.
