Description : The Painted Stork is a large predominantly white, long-legged water bird with a red head and blackish wings (adult bird length approximately 93 cm, weight 3 kg, wing 50 cm, bill 26.5 cm, tarsus 24.5 cm, tail 16 cm). The bare skin on its face is orange-yellow but turns red in the breeding season. It feeds on fish, frogs, crustaceans and insects.
