Description : The Pale Blue Flycatcher is a small bird with a remarkable sexual dimorphism (length 16 cm, weight 21 g, wing 8 cm, bill 1.8 cm, tarsus 1.8 cm, tail 7 cm approximately). The adult male looks pale blue from above and greyish-blue from below. Its forehead, supercilium and shoulders are shining blue and the tail is deep blue. It has dusky lores, pale blue throat, blue breast and whitish belly.The adult female is olive-brown from above and greyish from below. It has brown wings, rufous-brown uppertail-coverts and tail, greyish-white centre of the belly and dark buff undertail- covert. It has pale lores and eye-ring. It feeds chiefly on insects. It breeds in April-June.
