Description : The White-tailed Robin is a small dark passerine with white ovals in its tail (length 17 cm, weight 27 g, wing 9.4 cm, bill 2 cm, tarsus 3 cm, tail 7.7 cm approximately). The male looks very different from the female. The male looks entirely dark blue except for the prominent white sides of its black tail. It has a shiny light blue forehead, supercilium and shoulder, and small white spots on the neck. The female looks warm olive-brown from above and rufous-brown to greyish-brown from below. It has white sides to its black tail, white streaks on its ear-coverts and chin and a buff line on the lower throat. It feeds on insects and berries. It breeds in the hills of northeast India in April-August
