Description : The Brown-headed Gull is a grey seabird whose white head turns dark coffee colour in the summer (adult bird length approximately 46 cm, wing 35 cm, bill 4 cm, tarsus 5.2 cm, tail 14 cm). The non-breeding adult has a white head with a dark patch on the ear-coverts and black bill with a red tip. It also takes grubs, slugs, earthworms, insects, winged termites and shoots of crops.
