Description : The Asian Palm Swift is a small slim sooty-brown bird with scythe-shaped wings and a long, forked tail (adult bird length approximately 13 cm, wing 11.7 cm, bill 0.7 cm, tarsus 0.8 cm, tail: central 3 cm, outer 6.5 cm). It has fine dark brown, slim, swept-back pointed wings. It feeds on winged ants and other hymenoptera insects, beetles and bugs in the air.
