Description : The Little Swift is a stubby, black bird with long wings, a broad white rump and an almost square ended tail (adult bird length approximately 15 cm, weight 21 g, wing 13.5 cm, bill 0.6 cm, tarsus 1 cm, tail 4.5 cm). The adult looks smoky-black from above and blackish from below. It feeds on midges, beetles, flying bugs, winged ants and airborne spiders.
