Description : Vernal Hanging Parrot is a tiny green parrot with a red bill and rump which looks entirely green except some parts of it.It has reddish-orange bill,brownish-buff irises and pale orange legs and feet.The female is distinguished from its male by the throat patch. It undergoes local movements, driven mainly by the availability of the fruit, seeds, buds and blossoms that make up its diet. They frequent the banyan tree for the fruit and plantain trees for the nectar from the flowers.
