Description : The Black-naped Tern is a whitish waterbird with a black bill and a black band on its nape (adult bird length approximately 35 cm, wing 22.3 cm, bill 3.4 cm, tarsus 1.8 cm, tail 14 cm). It looks white from above except for its black mask and black nape band. Its bill is black with a small yellowish tip, the irises are brown, and its legs and feet are black.
