Description : The Large-tailed Nightjar is a brownish night bird with a long broad tail (adult bird length approximately 33 cm, wing 22 cm, bill 2.2 cm, tarsus 2 cm, tail 16 cm). The male looks brown patterned with buff. It feeds on flying beetles, bugs, moths and night-flying insects. It breeds in March-May.
