Description : The Pale-bellied Myna is a medium-sized greyish passerine which shows a prominent white patch in the wings in flight (length 23 cm, wing 12.5 cm, bill 2.2 cm, tarsus 4 cm, tail 8 cm). It is blackish-grey above and uniform dark grey below. It has a whitish vent, white patches in the wing and a white tip to its tail. It has a tuft of longer feathers from above the bill over the front of the crown. Its irises are reddish to orange-brown, the bill is orange-yellow, and its legs and feet are wax-yellow. The male and the female look alike. It breeds in April-May. It feeds on fruits, berries, grains, nectar and insects.
