Description : The Jungle Myna is a medium-sized dark grey bird with a large white wing-patch (length 23 cm, weight 85 g, wing 12.5 cm, bill 2.5 cm, tail 7 cm). The upperparts and breast are mid-grey, with dark grey wings and tail. It has pinkish-grey underparts, white undertail-coverts, a white wing patch and broadly white-tipped tail. It has a short upright tuft of dark grey feathers at the base of the bill. Its bill is yellow-orange, but is distinctively bluish-black at the base of the lower mandible. Their legs and feet are yellow-ochre and the claws are brown. It has lemonyellow irises with little bare skin around the eye. The male and the female look alike. It feeds on worms and insects. . It breeds in February-July.
