Description : The Striated Yuhina is a small grey-brown passerine with a rufous crown. The adult has grey-brown upperparts with narrow white streaks on the back, and a dark brown, rounded tail with white tips to the outer feathers. It has a short rufous crest with pale scales, a narrow white supercilium, and rufous ear-coverts with fine white streaks. The underpars are off-white to greyish-white. Its short bill is light reddish-horn with a purplish base and gape. It has pale hazel irises, dull reddish or flesh coloured legs and feet. The male and the female look alike. Juveniles have a browner back and a shorter crest. It feeds on insects, seeds and nectar. It breeds in April-July.
