Description : The Asian house martin is a small bird, measuring around 13 centimeters in length, with a distinctive blue-black upper body and white underparts. It is known for its acrobatic flight, darting and swooping through the air to catch insects.
This species of bird is commonly found near human settlements, building their nests on the walls of buildings and other structures. The nest is made from mud and shaped like a half-saucer, with a small entrance at the top. They breed in colonies and typically lay 2-4 eggs per clutch.
They have a high-pitched twittering call, which is often heard when they are in flight or near their nests.
While the Asian house martin is primarily insectivorous, feeding on a variety of flying insects such as flies, moths, and beetles, they have also been observed feeding on spiders and other small invertebrates.
