Description : The Eurasian Tree Sparrow is a small passerine with a chestnut crown and distinct black ear spot (length 14 cm, weight 20.3 g, wing 7 cm, bill 1.2 cm, tarsus 1.7 cm, tail 5.3 cm approximately). It has a chocolate-brown crown and nape, and pale hind collar. The rest of its upperparts are brown streaked with black, with two white wing bars. The sides of its head are whitish with black ear-coverts. Its underparts are grayish-white with a black chin and centre of the throat. It has dark brown irises, fleshy-brown legs and feet. It often forages in mixed flocks of sparrows, feeding by gleaning on the ground, feeding on grass-seeds, cereals, fruits, flower buds, shoots, insects and kitchen scraps. It breeds in March-August
