Description : Ashy Prinia is a small bird with a deep grey head. Their wings and tails are deep reddish brown and the tail feathers are with pale ends. The beak remains black during summer and brown in winter. The ashy prinia is a songbird known for singing from the top of a bush and performing fluttery display flights. It builds nests close to the ground in shrubs or tall grass, using various materials such as leaves sewn together or a ball of grass. The nests have a side entrance and are lined with hair. The ashy prinia lays 3 to 5 glossy eggs with varying colors, hatching in about 12 days. Both male and female prinias participate in incubation and feeding, and they may reuse materials from previous nests.
