Description : The Small Pratincole is a sleek, grey shore bird with a square-ended tail (adult bird length approximately 17 cm, weight 42 g, wing 15 cm, bill 1 cm, tarsus 2 cm, tail 5.3 cm). In the breeding season, it looks pale grey to brown from above and buff to whitish from below. It feeds chiefly on flying insects, beetles and winged termites.
