Description : The Yellow-bellied Flowerpecker is a small passerine of the treetops with a white throat and yellow belly (length 13 cm, wing 5.8 cm, bill 1.3 cm, tarsus 1.4 cm, tail 1.4 cm approximately). The male is visibly different from the female. The male is dark bluish-black on all the upperparts, cheeks and the sides of the breast. The centre of its throat and the outer tail feathers are white, and the rest of the underparts are yellow. The female has olive-brown upperparts and sides to its breast, a white throat, and dull olive-yellow belly and vent. It feeds on berries, nectar, small beetles and other insects. It breeds in the hills of northeast India.
