Description : Indian Grey Hornbill is a pale grey bird with a heavy,curved bill.Male:above with paler brownish-grey and dark-grey from below.Its bill is slaty-black at the base and casque and legs and feet are plumbeous to slaty-black.The female looks like the male except for its smaller casque. It can be found in urban areas of various cities, where they take advantage of the presence of large trees along avenues. They are primarily arboreal, spending most of their time in trees. However, on rare occasions, they may descend to the ground to gather fallen fruits, engage in dust bathing, or collect mud pellets to seal their nest cavities during the nesting period.
