Description : Lesser Frigatebird is a seabird (recently observed in Bangladesh) with black plumage, deeply fork tail. Male has red gular sac, female has black head, white neck sides. Juvenile and immature have rufous or white head and blackish breast band. Lesser Frigatebirds are skilled fliers and spend most of their time in the air, soaring on thermal currents and using their long wings to stay aloft for hours at a time. They feed on fish and other sea creatures that they snatch from the water's surface, often by harassing other seabirds and forcing them to drop their prey.
