Description : Oriental Dollarbird is a dark greenish-blue bird with red feet and a broad orange-red bill.It looks entirely dark bluish green along with yellowish-brown iris and red legs and feet.Both sexes look alike and the juveniles are duller than the adult. The oriental dollarbird favors open wooded areas that have trees with hollows suitable for nest building. These birds are typically observed individually, characterized by their upright silhouette, perched high on a bare branch of a tree. From this vantage point, they engage in hawking behavior, swiftly catching insects in flight and often returning to the same perch after just a few seconds.
