Description : The Barn Owl is a pale golden bird with black eyes. (adult bird length approximately 36 cm, wing 30 cm, bill 3 cm, tarsus 7.2 cm, tail 12.3 cm). It looks golden-buff from above, white from below and grey back. Its shoulders and wings are yellowish-brown. Its bill is fleshy-white to fleshy-horn, irises are deep brown. It feeds mainly on rats, mice, small bats and birds. It is more active at dawn and dusk.
