Description : The Indian rhinoceros is one of the largest land animals in Asia. Adult males can weigh up to 2,700 kg (5,952 lbs) and stand up to 1.8 meters (5.9 feet) tall at the shoulder.

They have a single, grey-brown colored thick hide that is covered in large, deep folds, which help it to move more easily in water.

They have a single horn on their nose, which can grow up to 25 cm (10 inches) in length.

Indian rhinos are herbivores and their diet mainly consists of grasses, fruits, leaves, and aquatic vegetation.

They can be found in grasslands, swampy areas, and forests of northern India and Nepal, and are often found near rivers.

Indian rhinos are typically solitary animals, except during mating season. They are territorial and will defend their area against other males.

They are currently listed as "Vulnerable" on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species due to habitat loss and poaching for their horn, which is used in traditional medicines and as a status symbol. However, conservation efforts have helped to increase their population in recent years.
