Description : Male upper side: Pale violet-blue with a silvery sheen; forewing has broad brown edging along termen, widest at apex, bounded by a darker anteciliary line, cilia brown at base and white outwardly. Hindwing: anterior half and apex brown, slender black anteciliary line, cilia as in forewing.

Male underside: Brownish grey; forewing has dusky lunule on discocellulars, seven minute black spots in curved row with white encircling, inner and outer subterminal series of dusky spots. Hindwing: transverse sub-basal series of four and irregular discal series of nine black spots encircled in white. Antenna black with white rings; head, thorax, abdomen brown with some blue scaling; beneath white.

Female upper side: Brown with faint violet-blue at wing bases, hindwing's violet-blue extends along dorsum; both wings have darker anteciliary lines than ground color.

Female underside: Slightly darker ground color than male, similar markings. Antennae, head, thorax, abdomen as in male, without blue scaling above thorax and abdomen.
